Dozens of British Airways passengers left stranded at JFK

Dozens of British Airways passengers who have been travelling since Thursday were left stranded at JFK Airport after their flight was diverted due to a mechanical issue.

The British Airways flight from Orlando to London had to be diverted to JFK “as a precaution, following a minor technical issue,” the airline said in a statement.

After their flight was diverted to New York, the airline only provided around 20 passengers with rooms, according to passengers.

On Saturday morning, passengers could be seen sleeping on the floor at the airport next to their luggage.

"Babies with no formula and children sleeping on the floor. An absolute disgrace," said passenger Samantha Simson.
