ExxonMobil plant fire injures 37 people


A fire is burning at the ExxonMobil Olefins Plant off Highway 146 (July 31) in Baytown, Texas has injured 37 people.

The specific unit which caught fire contained polypropylene, a lightweight plastic used in things like cars and home appliances.

According to International Business Times, Site manager Jason Duncan eventually stated that the fire had been contained and was being allowed to burn out.

No serious injuries have occurred.
