Good Samaritan rescues driver stuck in car sinking into a river

A kind-hearted man rescued a driver stuck in his car that was sinking into a river in northern China.

The clip, shot in Ankang City in Shaanxi Province on January 26, shows a shirtless man using a hammer to hit the back window of the car repeatedly to try to break it and pull the driver out.

Then the car can be seen completely sinking into the river once the driver is taken out of it.

According to reports, the car crashed into the fence on the side of a road and rushed into the river.

A man named Mei Yuan driving past that place took off his clothes and jumped into the river with a hammer that he borrowed from a passerby to rescue the trapped driver.

The driver was rescued successfully and safely taken back to shore.
