High tide batters promenade in Penzance


Storm Callum has begun to hit parts of the UK with heavy rain and 60mph winds.

Footage captured today, October 12, shows huge waves crashing into the sea wall in Penzance where strong gales were recorded earlier this morning.

At least 30,000 homes are left without power in Ireland and South-West England.

Warnings of flooding and travel disruption have been issued for northwest England, southwest Scotland, Lothian Borders, Wales, Yorkshire and Humber.
