Impressively acrobatic squirrel steals snack from bird feeder

Squirrels are known to be pretty agile creatures, but this little guy gives that association a whole new meaning.

The video, filmed in Tallahassee, Florida on July 1, shows the hungry squirrel balancing on a fence near where a bird feeder is hanging. The creature fixes his hind legs on the fence, leans and stretches forward about twice its body length to reach the feeder.

Not quite satisfied, it then jumps off the fence and lurches towards the feeder, clinging onto to it and devouring the food. Perhaps finding the act a bit too taxing, it later leaps back onto the fence and continues to eat from there.
