Man goes surfing on flooded Thai road after heavy rain

This joker tried to go surfing on a flooded road in the Thai capital on Friday.

After thunderstorms caused flash floods in Bangkok, the young man grabbed a wakeboard and headed out into the street.

The man lay on the board like he was paddling out into the ocean to catch waves.

The passing cars even caused small mini waves that rocked him up and down as he lay on the board.

Sudden monsoon rains caused flash floods which left some 20cm of water on roads in parts of the capital.

It was the first severe flooding of 2019 in Bangkok, with the rainy season expected to last until late September.
