On the horns of a dilemma: how to remove an angry bull from a roof?

Local authorities in India were faced with a beastly problem on Friday: how to remove an angry bull from a rooftop.

The animal had climbed of its own accord up to a first-floor roof in Sikir, Rajasthan via some outside stairs.

When local residents saw the hefty bovine, they tried to shoo it away but instead of heading back down, the bull climbed another flight of stairs to the second-floor roof.

After again failing to get the bull to leave, locals called in the authorities.

Staff from the Department of Animal Husbandry arrived, sedated the animal and, with some difficulty, fitted a harness.

They then lowered it back down to the ground level with a crane.

Although the bull did put up a bit of a struggle initially, it was completely unharmed in the incident.
