RAF helicopters continue to fly in emergency supplies to help reinforce the Whaley Bridge dam

RAF Chinook helicopters continue to fly in emergency sandbags as the effort to reinforce a damaged dam in Whaley Bridge.

Filmed today (August 6), the footage shows a large helicopter flying over the town in Derbyshire.

The dam wall at Toddbrook Reservoir partially collapsed on Thursday (August 1) afternoon following heavy downpours in the area.

About 1,500 residents have been evacuated from Whaley Bridge as it is feared the dam could collapse and flood the town.
