Rescue worker swims across deep reservoir to save drowning dog

A drowning dog had to be rescued after falling into a reservoir.

The hapless mutt slipped down the slippery plastic-sheet covering the banks of the pool.

It plunged into the water - causing the other dogs to raise the alarm by barking.

Residents noticed the creature struggling and called the emergency services. By the time they arrived, the dog had paddled over to the middle of the deep reservoir.

Footage shows how one rescue worker had to don a bright orange life jacket while swimming over.

They then grabbed the exhausted dog and hauled him to safety on the shore of the reservoir in Chonburi, Thailand, on February 6, 2019.
