Rescuers save three vehicles buried in massive avalanches in China

Massive avalanches in northwestern China buried three vehicles and trapped ten people on a motorway.

The video filmed in Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region on Tuesday (February 12), shows a group of rescuers trying to heave a buried car out of the snow, and a truck-mounted snow blower helping clean up the blocked motorway.

After two hours, the snow was cleaned from the motorway and the trapped vehicles and people were rescued.

Traffic was returned to normal thereafter and no casualties were reported.
