Snake expert removes massive king cobra from village stream

This is the remarkable moment a snake expert rescued a massive king cobra from a stream in Kerala, India.

Residents of a village near Thiruvananthapuram spotted the 15ft (4.57 metre) reptile on November 4th.

There were understandably anxious about having the highly venomous snake living so close to their homes and called local snake expert Vava Suresh.

By the time Suresh arrived, the snake has crawled into a stream, so he was forced to enter the water.

After a long tussle, Suresh managed to haul the massive snake to the bank.

He removed the reptile from the village and later released it in a nearby forest.

Suresh said it was the 150th king cobra he had relocated.
