UK bookmaker gives Boris Johnson 16% chance of surviving the year as Prime Minister

Incoming UK prime minister Boris Johnson has a 5/1 of 16 per cent chance of being replaced by the end of the year, according to one UK bookmaker.

Footage captured yesterday (July 23) at the Westminster media centre shows William Kedjanyi of Star Sports Bookmakers explaining the odds of the incumbent PM losing his seat and being replaced in next general election.

Johnson beat Jeremy Hunt in the Tory leadership race yesterday with 92,153 compared to Hunt's 46,656.

Johnson will meet the Queen later today and officially take office.

Footage also shows a demonstration in earshot of live news channels reporting the day's events, where pro-Brexit and anti-Brexit supporters voiced their opinions.
